Burnt Toast Cafe is looking for *2 reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helpers* to join our team in Whitehorse.

This position is primarily focused on supporting our busy breakfast and lunch service. *Early morning availability is required.*

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items such as eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, sandwiches, and other simple food items
• Assist with general food preparation and portioning
• Package food for take-out orders
• Stock and restock ingredients and kitchen supplies
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist cooks and other kitchen staff as required

Requirements

• Minimum *1 year of experience in breakfast cooking, food preparation, or a similar kitchen position*
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Must be available for *early morning shifts*
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Food Handler Certificate is an asset; employer can support obtaining certification if required
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
