This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Centralized Receivables, Billing and Debt Reporting Division. As a Centralized Receivables Service (CRS) Agency Liaison, you will function as a key point of contact between CRS, Agency programs, financial agent operations, technical experts, and program managers across the bureau.

Major duties

As a Centralized Receivables Service (CRS) Agency Liaison, you will: -Conduct and/or coordinate a variety of projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programmatic administrative and operational policies and procedures related to the mission of the organization and in promotion of CRS. -Develop strategic communication approaches to maintain relationships with customer agencies. -Conduct periodic briefings to senior management on the status of customer relationship activities. -Facilitate efforts to improve debt collection initiatives by providing continuous review and evaluation of plans, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure that they produce the results necessary to develop and sustain effective program implementation. -Provide support in the overall development of concepts and strategies that will form the framework of strategic planning for the CRS efforts.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Establish and maintain robust relationships with external agencies to promote collaboration and advance organizational objectives; AND -Facilitate effective communication and partnership between internal teams and agency stakeholders, optimizing project execution and debt collection results; AND -Oversee agency performance and operational procedures to strengthen debt collection strategies, deliver constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
