SECURITY SPECIALIST

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the MY NAVY CAREER CENTER of MY NAVY CAREER CENTER.

Major duties

• You will ensure all security programs comply with DOD/DON directives and regulations.
• Yo will manage the personnel security investigation program.
• You will review all positions to ensure the assigned personnel clearance to perform their duties.
• You will determine adequacy and sufficiency of personnel investigations and weighs and assesses, if and when conflicting or adverse information is presented b conducting personnel interviews
• You will ensure personnel security investigations of assigned personnel are updated as required by DONCAF.
• You will ensure all Top Secret material is accounted for and properly transferred in accordance with all regulations and policies.
• You will process letters of intent and letters of denial initiated by DoN Central Adjudication Facility (DONCAF).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Ensuring a security programs complies with the DOD/DON directives and regulations; 2) Managing a personnel security investigation program; 3) Reviewing all positions to ensure that assigned personnel clearance to perform their duties; 4) Determining the adequacy and sufficiency of personnel investigations and weighs and assesses, if and when, conflicting or adverse information is presented by conducting personnel interviews; 5) Ensuring that all personnel security investigations of assigned personnel are updated as required by DONCAF; 6) Ensuring that all Top Secret material is accounted for and properly transferred in accordance with all regulations and policies; 7) Processing Letters of Intent (LOI) and Letters of Denial (LOD) initiated by DoN Central Adjudication Facility (DONCAF).
