You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Institutional Research Office at the U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY.

Major duties

  • You will provide timely and accurate data directly to the Director for the purpose of decision making as it pertains to program effectiveness and resource management.
  • You will maintain computer-generated and paper files of data/statistics compiled on candidates, midshipman, and graduates in logical, easily understood structure so that it may be retrieved readily by other staff members.
  • You will use computer software programs to collect and analyze data from midshipmen, faculty, staff and graduates.
  • You will use database analysis software, word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet applications programs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating and analyzing datasets and data warehouse management to support senior leadership decision-making; 2) Collecting and synthesizing disparate data sources; 3) Using database analysis software to respond to urgent RFIs (Requests for Information); and 4) Managing database structures for rapid query capability, and translating highly technical findings into clear reports and presentations for management.
