International Affairs Administrator (m/f/d)
in the E2 Abroad working group of the THW leadership in Bonn
EG 11 TVöD (Bund) – temporary until 31.12.2028

If you are a civil servant, a secondment within your current salary group may be considered for the period of the fixed-term contract; however, reimbursement claims for salary from your authority will only be reimbursed up to the level of salary group A 11 BBesO. A transfer is not possible.
You will undertake the following tasks:
- Support and advice in the conception and organization of individual project/deployment components, such as training and procurement needs, equipment requirements, and training and exercise content
- Support in the area of budget and cost calculation
- Support in the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of international deployments as well as measures in the project country/in Germany, including delegation and business trips, training, and exercises
- Monitoring the planning of project and deployment components and coordination of measures with (inter)national partners
- Preparation of draft reports for clients as well as evaluation of individual project and deployment components
- Support for public relations work
You bring with you:
- Completed Bachelor's degree at a (technical) university, preferably in the field of disaster protection, politics, international affairs, or comparable
- Initial proven professional experience in project or event management, in international cooperation, or administration
- English skills (at least level B2), further language skills desirable
- Ideally knowledge in civil protection
- Intercultural understanding and diversity competence
- Willingness for generally well-plannable business trips domestically and abroad, as well as for close and cooperative cooperation with THW emergency forces
- Willingness to perform duties and be reachable outside of usual working hours if required (e.g., in the event of an operation), to work in the management and coordination staff (LuK), and to wear service or operational clothing on certain occasions
- Willingness for the required vaccinations as part of tropical suitability and to undergo a security clearance (SÜ1)

The THW is subject to the Measles Protection Act. All employees must provide proof of immunity or a medical contraindication before employment. For persons born before 31.12.1970, natural measles protection is assumed, so no proof is required.
