If you are a civil servant, a transfer within your current pay group up to a maximum of pay group A 11 BBesO can be reviewed.

You will undertake the following tasks:

  • Development and updating of nationwide KRITIS concepts and measures in close coordination with the specialist departments and state associations
  • Preparation of policy papers, service regulations, and decision templates
  • Conception and further development of operational options for KRITIS scenarios
  • Further development of civilian alarm planning as well as conception and coordination with the operations and situation area for own KRITIS hardening
  • Conception and implementation of training, exercises, and testing in KRITIS scenarios
  • Preparation of reports as well as technical advice in the field of KRITIS
  • Participation in the networking of the THW as a federal organization in civil protection at all levels (local hazard response, disaster protection through to civil defense)
  • Participation in the management and coordination staff of the THW leadership in the event of an operation, as well as taking on on-call duties to ensure operational readiness

You bring with you:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree or higher from a (technical) university, for example in the fields of risk and security management, disaster prevention and disaster management, rescue engineering, or administrative management, or another comparable field
  • THW salaried employees in a comparable middle service who have acquired application eligibility within the THW may also apply
  • Good knowledge of civil and disaster protection, strong international teamwork skills, and intercultural understanding
  • Gender and diversity competence
  • English skills (at least EU level B1)
  • Good MS-Office skills as well as driving license of class III or B or BE
  • Willingness for, as a rule, well-plannable, one- or multi-day business trips within the federal territory
  • Willingness to perform duties and be reachable outside of usual working hours if required (e.g., in the event of an operation), to participate in the management and coordination staff (LuK-Stab), and to wear service or operational clothing on certain occasions
  • Consent to undergo a security clearance according to the Security Clearance Act (SÜG) is a prerequisite for application. This security clearance must not result in a security risk that stands in the way of the security-sensitive activity (§ 14 SÜG)
