Support us as a Senior Cloud Developer (f/m/d) in the field of Information Technology Surveillance in the Operative Deployment and Investigation Support department and contribute your expertise in the field of Backend-Development and Kubernetes to analyze incriminating platforms on the Internet.

Tasks

• You develop new and improve existing applications, particularly in the field of efficient and parallelized processing of large amounts of data in Go, but also do not lose sight of aspects such as stability, high availability, and later monitoring
• You package your applications in Docker and deploy them in our Kubernetes cluster
• You work closely with our Technical Management in the design and improvement of our IT architecture: from build, test, and deployment pipelines to the monitoring, logging, and tracing of our applications
• You develop new methods for processing, analyzing, and evaluating our data together within the team
• You work almost exclusively with OpenSource applications, develop new features that you submit upstream in the projects, and represent us at developer conferences
• You support us in the analysis of incriminating servers and networks using network traffic

Willingness for flexible working hours is required for the following reasons:

• Rare business trips, predictable, 2-3 times per year for an average of 3 days each, within the framework of conferences or participation in operative deployments.
• Rare overtime, predictable, through ordered services outside of regular working hours, 1-2 times per year for an average of 3 days each
• Rare on-call duty, predictable, 1-2 times per year for an average of 3 days each

These framework conditions are dynamic. Changes in connection with the performance of tasks may necessitate adjustments or shifts.

Our expectations (mandatory)

• Completed university degree (Diplom (FH), Bachelor) in the field of Computer Science or a comparable completed university degree in the STEM field with an IT orientation

and

• additionally at least three years of professional experience in a corresponding job profile with an IT orientation

On Top

• Very good knowledge of Cloud technologies (including Docker, Kubernetes, S3, Helm, Terraform/OpenTofu)
• Very good knowledge of higher programming languages (ideally Golang)
• Sound knowledge and practical experience with monitoring solutions, especially in the cloud environment (including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Telegraf)
• Good knowledge of automated build, test, and deployment pipelines
• Solid knowledge in the area of version control (git)
• Knowledge in the area of network protocols and BigData applications (e.g., Apache Kafka, OpenSearch) is desirable, but not required.
• Confident handling of the Linux command line is required.
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with potentially new subject areas
• You have good English skills (Level C1); proof according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is desirable.
• Good cooperation and team-oriented action are a matter of course for you.
• You have very good oral and written expression, possess good cognitive and organizational skills, are resilient as well as independent and flexible in task completion.

The selection process consists of a computer-aided psychodiagnostic test, the formal suitability test, and a structured interview. All test sections represent exclusion criteria.
