Operations support: Operating infrastructure components together with our development teams and specialist departments / focus also on automation of workflows Application: Independent familiarization with new topics and techniques, implementing them in the form of PoCs and transferring them into live operation with quality assurance You are responsible for the planning, coordination and (further) development of system administration, in particular:
Operation of existing procedures and infrastructures including development as well as the implementation of ideas for improvements and changes to the operating landscape Collection, analysis and evaluation of police-specific and/or technical requirements Definition of the hardware and software architecture/infrastructure for components to be implemented and integration into the functional and technical overall architecture of already existing hardware/software solutions
You are responsible for and develop concepts, in particular:
Creation and maintenance of instructions and documentation for users Creation and maintenance of security concepts, DSFA and operating concepts for server-based software Analysis and evaluation of security risks and threats for server-based software
You support and advise users, in particular: Selection, implementation and optimization of server-based software 2nd-Level-Support for users regarding problems and errors in the server-based software
Willingness for flexible working hours is required for the following reasons:
Business trips, within the framework of internal official events at the locations of the Bundeskriminalamt
predictable event-related, approx. four times a year Duration of business trips: 1 - 4 days
On-call duty
regular approx. every six weeks 24/7

completed university degree (Diplom [FH] or Bachelor) in Informatik or a comparable completed university degree from the MINT field with an IT orientation and subsequent at least three years of professional experience or
correspondingly comparable skills and experience, but at least one vocational training with an IT orientation and additionally at least six years of subsequent professional experience in a corresponding job profile

You have a sound understanding of (server) operating systems (Windows, Linux), software containerization (e.g. Docker) and corresponding orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes) as well as experience with automation tools, such as GitlabCI, Ansible. You have in-depth experience in the administration of databases. You have in-depth knowledge in System Design and architecture for Cloud-Native systems, also in high-availability environments.
