Site Manager

BUILDORAMA, a growing company in the construction sector in Crete, is seeking a Civil Engineer – Site Manager for a project in the Chania area.

The candidate will undertake the daily organization and management of the construction site, the coordination of subcontractors and crews, as well as the monitoring of correct, high-quality, and timely execution of works.

Key responsibilities:

• Daily organization and supervision of the construction site
• Coordination of subcontractors, crews, and manpower
• Implementation and monitoring of the work schedule prepared by the Project Planning and Control team
• Conversion of weekly goals into organized daily tasks
• Monitoring of actual project progress and timely identification of deviations or delays
• Drafting detailed daily reports regarding works, manpower, subcontractors, material deliveries, and site issues
• Regular submission of progress data to the Project Planning and Control team
• Inspection of works according to architectural, structural, and electromechanical drawings
• Collaboration with the Technical Office for implementation details, technical issues, and drawing coordination
• Quality control of construction works
• Timely planning of needs for materials, equipment, and manpower
• Monitoring the performance of subcontractors and crews
• Timely updating of management regarding critical issues and project risks
• Addressing daily problems with a practical and solution-oriented approach

BUILDORAMA operates with an organized Technical Office, a centralized Project Planning and Control system, and direct collaboration with management, providing the Site Manager with the necessary support for effective project management.

Candidates who possess the required experience and can substantially undertake the above responsibilities will be evaluated through a personal interview.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 5 years of substantial site experience
• Experience in managing subcontractors and crews
• Very good knowledge of construction works, from the structural framework to finishing works
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and electromechanical drawings
• Knowledge of measurements and quantity surveying
• Ability to monitor actual progress against the project schedule
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
• Ability to draft organized and detailed site reports
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions on-site
• Responsibility, consistency, and an organized way of working
• Ability to independently manage the daily operations of the construction site
• Very good knowledge of English
• Driver's license

Previous experience in hotel, residential, tourism, or high-end building projects will be particularly valued.
