Design Manager (5 Days work week) Building Projects
About the company
Our client is an established A1 Main Contractor in Singapore, undertaking building construction projects across the local construction industry.
Your tasks
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee technical matters across building construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, approved drawings and regulatory requirements.
- Review and coordinate architectural, structural and engineering drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, site engineers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on design development, technical submissions and construction details.
- Review method statements, material submissions, shop drawings and other technical documentation.
- Identify design clashes and site constraints, and recommend practical solutions to facilitate construction progress.
- Ensure technical coordination is carried out in accordance with project requirements, construction standards and relevant authority regulations.
- Monitor technical issues throughout the project lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.
- Support project teams in resolving design changes, construction challenges and technical queries.
- Lead and guide the technical team to ensure effective coordination and timely delivery of technical submissions.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building or a related discipline.
- Relevant technical management experience within the construction industry, preferably with an A1 Main Contractor.
- Experience in building construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings, technical submissions, design coordination and local building regulations.
