Multi Trade Engineer Location: Hertfordshire – Mobile

The Company Our client is a highly experienced and reputable building and maintenance company delivering a wide range of specialist services, including new build, refit and refurbishment, maintenance and small works.
Working with both smaller businesses and major multinational organisations, they provide a comprehensive range of services spanning design, building, planning and major refurbishment.
They also deliver 24/7 reactive maintenance services, including preventative assessments and remedial works. With a strong focus on quality, reliability and customer service, they have built long-standing relationships with their clients and pride themselves on consistently exceeding expectations.
The Role They are now looking for an experienced Multi Trade Engineer to join their growing Small Works team.
This is a mobile role covering commercial and industrial sites across Hertfordshire , carrying out a variety of building fabric maintenance on small work projects.
You will be a proactive, reliable and hands-on individual who takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship. You will also be required to respond to reactive call-outs, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of health & safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building fabric maintenance, repairs and small works.
- Undertake carpentry, joinery and door repairs.
- Complete general plumbing repairs and patch plastering.
- Carry out painting, decorating and finishing works.
- Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs and urgent building issues.
- Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Use mobile apps to log in and out of jobs and update job information.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and site contacts.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Proven experience in building fabric maintenance.
- Commercial maintenance experience is preferred, although not essential.
- Strong all-round multi-trade skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Good carpentry/joinery skills.
- General plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating experience.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using mobile apps to manage and update jobs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
- A full UK driving licence .
