Retail Manager

Job Description

1. Retail Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of retail outlets to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and service standards.
• Monitor outlet cleanliness, product displays, and overall store presentation.
• Handle operational issues and provide solutions to maintain business continuity.

2. Sales & Business Performance

• Drive sales performance and achieve outlet sales targets.
• Analyse sales performance and implement improvement plans when required.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
• Monitor promotions, campaigns, and product performance.

3. Team Leadership & Staff Management

• Lead, coach, and motivate retail staff to achieve operational and sales goals.
• Plan manpower schedules and ensure sufficient staffing coverage.
• Conduct staff briefing, training, and performance feedback sessions.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new retail employees.
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and work performance.

4. Customer Service Excellence

• Ensure customers receive excellent service experience.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery.
• Train staff on product knowledge and customer engagement skills.

5. Inventory & Merchandising Management

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock availability.
• Coordinate stock replenishment and stock transfers between outlets.
• Conduct regular stock checks and minimise stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper product arrangement and visual merchandising standards.

6. Reporting & Administration

• Prepare outlet performance reports, sales reports, and operational updates.
• Monitor KPIs and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Warehouse, and Management teams on operational matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records.

7. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure outlet operations comply with workplace safety, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, inventory, and company assets.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of retail management or supervisory experience .
• Experience managing retail teams and multiple outlets is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
