HR and Recruitment Administrator
Are you an organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same? Our client, a well-established school, is looking to recruit an HR and Recruitment Administrator to support a busy HR function across recruitment, compliance, payroll administration and the employee lifecycle. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, has excellent attention to detail and is confident handling sensitive and confidential information. The successful candidate must have HR admin experience. It's 35 hours per week, across 52 weeks a year and there will be very occasional travel to other sites so a car driver is essential. There may be the opportunity to work from home up to 1 day per week. Duties include Managing recruitment campaigns, including advertising vacancies and coordinating applications Supporting hiring managers with shortlisting and interview arrangements Preparing interview documentation and ensuring an excellent candidate experience Conducting pre-employment checks, including references, DBS and right-to-work documentation Maintaining compliance records and safeguarding documentation Preparing contracts, offer letters and employment paperwork Coordinating onboarding, inductions and probation processes Updating HR systems and maintaining accurate employee records Monitoring absence records and supporting return-to-work processes Assisting with monthly payroll administration Producing reports and maintaining HR files and documentation Skills/Experience Previous experience within HR Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to manage a busy workload and changing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, approachable and discreet Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook Experience within education, regulated sectors or payroll administration would be advantageous CIPD Level 3, or working towards it, would be beneficial
