Threat Intelligence Intern

About the area:

We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Intern to support cyber threat monitoring activities, collection and analysis of indicators of compromise (IOCs), research on threat groups, and intelligence production to support security operations.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Cyber Defense Center, developing knowledge in cybersecurity, threat analysis, incident response, and cyber intelligence.

In your day-to-day:

Monitor open and closed threat intelligence sources (OSINT, TI feeds, and security reports).

Conduct research on Threat Actors, attack campaigns, and new vulnerabilities.

Assist in the collection, analysis, and enrichment of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).

Support the production of tactical and strategic Threat Intelligence reports.

Correlate threat information with events identified by the SOC.

Contribute to the maintenance of knowledge bases and intelligence documentation.

Support analyses of malware, phishing, and digital fraud campaigns.

Participate in investigations related to emerging vulnerabilities and exploits in circulation.

Assist in the creation of dashboards and threat intelligence metrics.

What we expect from you:

Currently pursuing a degree in:

Information Security;

Computer Science;

Information Systems;

Computer Engineering;

Computer Networks;

Related fields.

Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks.

Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts.

Technical reading in English.

Differentials:

Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK.

Familiarity with Threat Intelligence frameworks.

Knowledge of log analysis.

Notions of SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or similar).

Academic experience or projects involving OSINT.

Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).

Certifications or courses in the information security area will be considered differentials.
