Your tasks

In your day-to-day

• Perform integration, parameterization, and customization on the Avaloq Core Banking platform.
• Analyze business requirements and design/propose appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize efficient, reusable, and reliable code, ensuring performance and quality.
• Act as a technical reference, providing support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle phases, including testing and documentation.
• Frequent communication in English with internal and external teams.

• Technical Knowledge (Programming and Architecture):
• Perform integration, parameterization, and customization on the Avaloq Core Banking platform.
• Analyze business requirements and design/propose appropriate technical solutions.
• Act as a technical reference, providing support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle phases, including testing and documentation.
• Frequent communication in English with internal and external teams.
• Experience in software development, with knowledge in one or more languages.
• Familiarity with software architecture principles, such as Hexagonal Architecture, focusing on the separation between business logic and frameworks.
• Ability to apply software engineering best practices, modularization, and testability.
• Knowledge in design and consumption of RESTful APIs.

Requirements

What we expect from you

• Business Knowledge (Finance and Accounting):
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of:

-Balance Sheet: Structure and analysis. -Trial Balance: Purpose and use. -P&L (Profit and Loss Statement): Preparation and interpretation. -Chart of Accounts (Accounting Accounts): Structuring and classification. -General Ledger: Operation and importance in the accounting cycle.

Differentials

• Previous experience in the banking sector or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal reports for the banking sector.
• Experience with the specificities of banking accounting.
• Familiarity with the Basel Accord standards (I, II, III) and their impacts on systems and reports.
