Developer

For our Bridge-IT Solutions group, we are looking for a Developer. As a Developer, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of our Odoo environments. You translate technical questions and tickets into qualitative solutions and help build our own custom Odoo modules regarding waste management and safety & prevention.

You primarily work behind the scenes: no direct customer contact, but plenty of room to think technically, develop, and improve.

What are your responsibilities?

Ticket handling

• You analyze tickets and translate them into a concrete technical solution within Odoo.
• You think along about feasibility and, together with the consultant, choose a simple and future-oriented solution.
• You test your own developments thoroughly and adjust based on test feedback.
• You investigate and resolve bugs and technical problems.

Odoo development

• You develop and maintain our custom Odoo modules.
• You build new functionalities based on questions from consultants and internal needs.
• You take the modular structure and best practices of Odoo into account.
• You work on HTML and QWeb views where necessary.
• You use AI tools and coding assistants to develop more efficiently and smarter.

Version control & deployment

• You work with Git via GitLab/GitHub.
• You first push changes to an acceptance environment for testing.
• After approval, you ensure the deployment to the production environment.
• You safeguard the stability and continuity of the Odoo environments with every change.

Knowledge & collaboration

• You stay up to date with new Odoo versions, functionalities, and best practices.
• You share your knowledge and contribute to the further knowledge building within the development team.

Who are you?

• You possess a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field, or are equivalent through experience.
• You have good knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge or experience with Odoo is a plus.
• Experience with Git/Gitlab/Github is a plus.
• You speak and write very good English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• You have an analytical mindset and are solution-oriented.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and understand the importance of stable and reliable software environments.
• You are eager to learn and actively follow new developments within Odoo.
• You make smooth use of AI tools and coding assistants to work more efficiently.
