Medical Receptionist

(Full Time - 37.5 Hours) Vauxhall, South West London £13.85 per hour, rising to £14.85 after probation | Permanent

Are you an experienced GP Receptionist looking for your next step with a friendly, well-established practice? Our client, a well-established NHS GP Practice in Vauxhall, is looking for a skilled and caring Medical Receptionist to join their supportive patient services team. You'll be the first point of contact for patients - making them feel welcome and well looked after - while helping the practice run smoothly behind the scenes.

What's on offer: £13.85 per hour, rising to £14.85 per hour after successful completion of probation 6 weeks' holiday plus bank holidays Monday to Friday - no nights and no regular weekend working Rota between two daytime shift patterns: 7:45am - 3:45pm and 10:30am - 6:30pm A permanent, full-time role in a friendly and established team Excellent transport links (Vauxhall Underground, rail and bus station) Please note: there is one Saturday a year, plus one early start (7:20am) or late finish (7:00pm) each week.

What you'll need: A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a GP practice - this is essential Confident using EMIS and Docman Excellent communication and organisational skills A calm, friendly and patient-focused approach

What you'll be doing: Rotating between front-desk reception and patient administration Booking and managing patient appointments and enquiries Supporting the Team Leader with managing clinicians' workload Organising practice meetings and liaising with external agencies Managing bring-forward and filing systems Helping to keep the practice and staff facilities tidy and well maintained Contributing ideas to improve practice quality and the patient experience
