Development Engineer System Electronics (f/m/d) (Engineer - Information, Communication Technology)

• Development of hardware and communication networks:

You develop hardware components and communication networks for complex technical systems and ensure their seamless integration into the overall system architecture.

• Selection and evaluation of system components: You select suitable system components, evaluate them with regard to technical and economic criteria, and take over the specification of the components.
• Creation of wiring specifications: You define and document the wiring for large devices such as electronic cabinets and ensure that the specifications comply with the relevant standards and requirements.
• Creation of technical documents and schedule/cost estimation: You create technical documentation, support project management in estimating schedules and costs, and contribute to the achievement of project goals.
• Requirements analysis, design, and drafting: You ensure the execution of requirements analysis as well as the creation of design and drafting based on given system requirements.
• Configuration and testing of system networks: You configure system networks, test their functionality, and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Documentation and functional checks: You create the necessary documentation and perform functional checks as part of environmental tests.
• Maintenance of schedules and cost estimates: Your tasks include the continuous maintenance of project schedules as well as the performance of cost-to-complete estimates.

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in communications, energy, or automation technology or a comparable qualification (e.g., technician with additional knowledge)
• Knowledge of serial interfaces and protocols (e.g., CAN, RS-485/422, NMEA-0183, NMEA2000) is desirable
• Experience in the analysis and design of distributed systems
• Ideally knowledge in the programming of microcontrollers (e.g., from the company ST
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Good written and spoken English skills
