- Development and programming of software solutions for machines, systems, and technical components
- Creation, adaptation, and optimization of automation solutions in the machine environment
- Independent processing of customer-specific software projects from requirements engineering to implementation
- Programming and further development of SPS and PLC systems
- Visualization of machine and plant processes, for example via HMI or WinCC systems
- Analysis of technical requirements and implementation of suitable software solutions
- Support of customer service with technical questions, error analysis, and problem-solving
- Cooperation with internal specialist departments as well as, if necessary, with customers and external partners
- Documentation of the developed software solutions and technical adaptations
- Occasional support during commissioning or service assignments domestically and abroad
Your Qualifications
- Completed studies in the field of Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, completed technical training with further training as a state-certified technician
- Sound knowledge in SPS or PLC programming
- Ideally experience with Siemens SIMATIC TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC Unified, or WinCC
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, for example with C, C++, Python, or comparable programming languages
- Understanding of machines, automation technology, and technical processes
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
- Good communication skills in exchange with customer service, specialist departments, and customers
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Willingness for occasional business trips domestically and abroad
- Interest in customer-specific technical solutions and practical software development in the mechanical engineering or plant environment
