Design Mechanic / Welding Technology (m/f/d) - (Designer - Shipbuilding)
Your Tasks
You are a trained design mechanic with a focus on welding technology and want to work in an innovative environment in steel shipbuilding - then become part of Brunel GmbH and support our customer in Kiel in the production-ready implementation of steel construction projects.
- Responsibility for workplace design, optimization of processes, and ensuring occupational health and safety.
- Verification of employee qualifications and deployment planning of the workers.
- Preparation and control of work in the welding area.
- Responsibility for the processing of welding orders in terms of time, cost, and quality.
- Completeness control and verification of work results.
- Direct exchange with the master as well as coordination with interfaces at the shop floor level.
- Leading shop floor rounds with the workers.
- Organization of further training and examinations for employees.
Your Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as a design mechanic with a focus on welding technology.
- Several years of professional experience in steel shipbuilding.
- Unrestricted mastery of at least two welding processes.
- Ideally training as a welding specialist and initial leadership experience.
- Basic knowledge of English, SAP, and CAD programs.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and instruction of employees.
- Teamwork skills, quality awareness, and willingness to lead.
