Your Tasks

You combine technical understanding with negotiation skills and want to actively shape procurement processes in an international environment - You enjoy building supplier relationships, identifying cost potential, and developing sustainable procurement solutions together with interdisciplinary teams - Then take your next career step at Brunel and take on responsibility as a Local Buyer (m/w/d).

• Support in the implementation of operational and strategic purchasing activities, taking into account quality, costs, and security of supply
• Examination of procurement requirements as well as management of the entire inquiry and ordering process from requirement determination to commissioning
• Conducting market analyses and supplier research to identify suitable procurement sources
• Creation, evaluation, and comparison of offers as well as support in the selection of economically and technically suitable suppliers
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with national and international suppliers
• Preparation, implementation, and follow-up of supplier meetings and contract negotiations
• Analysis of existing procurement processes as well as identification and implementation of optimization potential for cost reduction
• Coordination with project teams, specialist departments, and other purchasing units to ensure an efficient procurement strategy
• Support in the further development of digital procurement processes and the use of modern eProcurement solutions
• Maintenance of procurement-relevant data in the ERP system as well as creation of evaluations and decision-making bases
• Monitoring of relevant purchasing KPIs and derivation of suitable measures for continuous improvement

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in technical, business administration, or legal studies or a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience in purchasing
• Strong technical understanding as well as experience in dealing with technical products and supplier structures
• Knowledge of contract law as well as a structured and analytical way of thinking
• Very good SAP and MS-Office skills
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing; other foreign languages are an advantage
• Independent, proactive, and structured way of working as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confident appearance, negotiation strength, resilience, and willingness to undertake regular business trips
