Strategic Buyer Plant Engineering (m/f/d) (Engineer - Mechanical Engineering)

Your Tasks

For our client in Aachen, we are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer Plant Engineering (m/f/d) who actively shapes the procurement market and acts as a competent contact person for all purchasing questions. In this temporary position, you will play a decisive role in the economic and contractual design of procurement processes and contribute directly to our client's performance and the further development of our client's team.

• Procurement market analysis - You observe and analyze the procurement market, plan accordingly, and advise stakeholders on market developments, substitutes, and supply programs.
• Strategic procurement planning - Creation of procurement plans within defined product groups and identification of cost and optimization potentials.
• - Definition of inquiry documents, clarification of technical specifications with stakeholders, selection of suitable suppliers, bid evaluation, and negotiation tactics.
• Negotiation and contract design - Negotiation with external companies, substantive design of purchase, manufacturing, and service contracts, as well as preparation of award proposals for the management board.
• Contract management - Processing of contract disruptions such as defects and responsible signing of procurement processes in accordance with the signature policy.

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in a business administration field.
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing and the procurement process.
• Sound knowledge in purchasing and logistics as well as in-depth knowledge of SAP and purchasing systems and MS Office.
• Very good English skills in spoken and written form.
• Quick comprehension, structured way of working, strong communication skills, and negotiation skills.
• Ideally experience with purchasing systems such as Ivalua
