CAD Designer (m/f/d) - Creo Parametric (Designer - Control and Automation Technology)

Your Tasks

For our customer in Kohlscheid near Aachen, we are looking for a CAD Designer (m/f/d) - Creo Parametric who develops mechanical assemblies for demanding technical applications. In this temporary position, you will work closely with the development department, support the integration of automation tools, and make an important contribution to the quality and safety of our customer's products.

• Design and technical documentation of complex mechanical assemblies (reactor components, sheet metal parts, welded structures, moving components).
• Support in the mechanical integration of automation tools into existing systems.
• Performance of tolerance chain analyses as well as application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Calculations and designs under thermal and pressure loads.
• Creation of and collaboration on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) as well as implementation of risk mitigation measures.
• Interpretation of structural simulations and ensuring compliance with regional safety requirements.
• Support of manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives to optimize products.
• Management of changes and configurations in PLM and ERP systems within the framework of Product Lifecycle Management.
• Participation in the construction and testing of prototypes in close cooperation with the engineering department.

Your Qualifications

• Confident handling of 3D-CAD systems (ideally Creo) as well as experience with PLM and ERP systems.
• Sound knowledge of relevant norms and standards, especially ISO, CE, and SEMI standards.
• Strong ability for structured problem-solving and for performing risk assessments.
• Sense of responsibility as well as a strong ability for interdisciplinary cooperation at the interfaces between mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
• Good written and spoken English skills.
