Senior System Engineer (m/f/d) System Infrastructure in Remote (1705) (Engineer - Automotive Engineering)

With BRÜGGEN ENGINEERING, you will develop the system infrastructure of modern high-voltage inverter systems for hybrid and fully electric vehicles. You will take technical responsibility for system functions, coordinate interdisciplinary development teams, and work together with customers to design robust and future-proof system solutions.
How you contribute to our mutual success
- System Development: You are responsible for the development and implementation of system infrastructure functions for high-voltage inverters throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- System Concepts: You develop robust concepts and requirements, taking into account quality, performance, costs, and deadlines.
- Coordination: You manage the collaboration between Hardware, Software, Calibration, Safety, and Test.
- Customer Communication: You conduct technical coordination and act as the central contact person for the responsible functions.
- Error Analysis: You identify the causes of technical problems and develop effective solutions at the system level.
- Functional Safety: You support safety concepts, SFMEA, and FTA according to ISO 26262.
- Project Management: You report on status, risks, and measures and support the technical leadership of the project teams.
What you bring to the role
- Qualification: Completed Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
- Experience: At least ten years of professional experience in automotive system development, ideally in the field of high-voltage inverters, power electronics, or electrified drives
- System Engineering: Sound knowledge in the areas of requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation
- Expertise: Experience with power supplies, microcontroller safety mechanisms, and other infrastructure functions of high-voltage inverters
- Problem Solving: Strong experience in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical decision-making
- Safety: Knowledge of functional safety according to ISO 26262 as well as high-voltage safety
- Tools: Experience with Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, and MATLAB/Simulink is an advantage
- Communication: Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage, as well as willingness to travel to Luxembourg by up to 25%
