Senior System Engineer (m/f/d) System Functions in Remote (1706) (Engineer - Automotive Engineering)

With BRÜGGEN ENGINEERING, you will shape the functional behavior of modern high-voltage inverters and electrified drives. You will develop and validate sophisticated functions, solve technical issues at the complete vehicle level, and handle technical coordination with customers as well as international development teams.
How you contribute to our mutual success
- Function Development: You are responsible for the development and validation of functions for high-voltage inverters and electric drive systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Drive Concepts: You develop functional concepts and requirements for motor control, power electronics, and electric vehicle drives.
- System Integration: You coordinate the implementation of functions in cooperation with software development, calibration, hardware, testing, and functional safety.
- Testing: You accompany integration and vehicle tests, evaluate system behavior, and derive necessary optimizations.
- Problem Solving: You analyze functional deviations and error patterns and develop sustainable solutions considering the overall drive system.
- Customer Coordination: You represent the responsible functions in technical discussions and coordinate requirements, results, and open points directly with the customer.
- Technical Steering: You assess risks, report on development status, and technically lead complex topics to successful completion.
What you bring with you
- Qualification: Completed Master's degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
- Experience: At least ten years of professional experience in automotive system or function development, preferably in the field of high-voltage inverters, power electronics, or electrified drives
- Drive Technology: Sound knowledge of inverter functions, motor control methods, and electric drive systems
- System Development: Experience in requirements management, functional architecture, integration, as well as verification and validation
- Problem Solving: Strong skills in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and the evaluation of complex system interdependencies
- Safety: Knowledge of functional safety according to ISO 26262 and the requirements for high-voltage systems
- Tools: Experience with Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect as well as MATLAB and Simulink is an advantage
- Communication: Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage, as well as willingness to travel to Luxembourg of up to 25 %
