Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Location: Brecon Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £24,500 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to provide trauma-informed support to female survivors of domestic abuse across accommodation and community-based services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse
• Complete risk and needs assessments and develop support plans
• Support clients to access housing, benefits, healthcare and other services
• Manage a caseload and provide community outreach support
• Deliver recovery-focused interventions and programmes
• Work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or families
• Understanding of domestic abuse and safeguarding
• Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

• Experience in domestic abuse, housing, refuge or support services
• Experience delivering group work or recovery programmes
• Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
