DEPUTY MANAGER - CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL HOME

Coventry, CV2 £31,680 basic + £45 per sleep-in OTE approx. £34,920 with 6 sleep-ins per month Enhanced rates available 160 hours per month | Permanent

Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager ready for your next step?

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a 4-bed children's residential home in Coventry, supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager while helping to create a safe, nurturing and positive home where young people can thrive.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
  • Leading shifts and managing the home in the Manager's absence
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the residential care team
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Supporting young people with EBD, trauma and challenging behaviours
  • Supporting care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans
  • Maintaining high standards in line with Ofsted requirements
  • Supporting Regulation 44/45 processes and quality assurance
  • Working closely with social workers, schools and other professionals
  • Supporting staff supervision, development and performance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

ESSENTIAL: You must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People's Residential Care or equivalent.

You will also need:

  • Experience working in a children's residential home
  • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD
  • Senior/Team Leader/Deputy experience or strong leadership experience
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Confidence leading shifts and supporting a staff team
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
