Commercial Project Manager Factory Integration (m,f,d)

Your role:

As a Commercial Project Manager (m,f,d), you are responsible for all commercial and financial aspects of our projects and contribute significantly to their successful implementation. In close cooperation with the Project Director, you ensure that projects are realized in accordance with defined PM standards, customer requirements, and financial guidelines. Professional and partnership-based cooperation between the Project Director, Technical Project Manager, and Commercial Project Manager is crucial for the overall success of the project.

Your tasks:

• Joint responsibility with the Project Director over the entire project lifecycle,
• Ensuring financial transparency and compliance with reporting standards (order intake, revenue, costs, result, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Quantification of potential cost deviations, delays, additional efforts, and contractual risks, as well as development of suitable countermeasures
• Development and management of a structured claim strategy together with the project team
• Execution of financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and variance analysis
• Close coordination with project and sub-project managers regarding resource planning and personnel forecasts
• Identification, assessment, and management of risks and opportunities in cooperation with the operative project team
• Support in commercial negotiations as well as the main contact person for all commercial issues in the project
• Proactive building of relationships with commercial contact persons on the customer side
• Ensuring a proper commercial project closure
• Participation in the continuous further development of standards and processes

Your profile:

• Completed studies in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• More than 5 years of experience in commercial project management in an industrial environment or plant engineering
• Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management of complex projects
• Ability to align long-term strategic goals with operative financial management (revenue, costs, cash flow)
• Affinity for contractual and legal issues
• Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex commercial matters
• Very good communication skills in an international environment with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to travel internationally according to project requirements
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
• Sound practical experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems
• Very good user knowledge in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
