Machine Operative
About the company
We're recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a well-established, family-run engineering business in Evesham. Working a fixed late shift, Monday to Friday, you'll become part of a close-knit team where quality, craftsmanship and employee wellbeing are genuinely valued.
Your tasks
No jumping straight onto late shifts either - you'll complete your training on days, giving you the time and support to learn the machines, processes and products before moving onto your permanent shift.
As a Machine Operative, you will
- Set up and operate a variety of engineering machines within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Read gauges and use a range of hand tools to produce high-quality components.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
- Follow production processes and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Work safely and help maintain high health and safety standards across the workshop.
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE To be considered for the Machine Operative role, you'll need:
- Previous manufacturing or engineering experience, ideally working with metal products.
- Experience using a range of hand tools.
- Good basic maths skills, including converting and working with measurements.
- A good standard of written and spoken English.
- Your own transport, due to the location.
