Fully Qualified Lawyer (m/f/d) in the Insurance Department (Jurist/in)

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed legal studies (fully qualified lawyer, LL.M. or comparable qualification)
• Knowledge in international maritime transport and freight management
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Reliability, resilience, commitment, and diligence
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Continuous monitoring of legal developments and derivation of necessary adjustments

YOUR TASKS

• Risk and claim management
• Analysis and review of freight and shipyard contracts
• Database maintenance and creation of regular reports on ongoing processes
• Maintenance and evaluation of damage statistics for internal and external stakeholders
• Development of preventive measures for damage avoidance
• Advising operational units on insurance-relevant issues
• Legal assessment of facts in daily operational and strategic business
• Support and independent handling of national and international legal disputes, including the coordination of external lawyers
