Bridgelynn Ltd t/a Little Flower Nursing Home are seeking Health Care Assistants for Little Flower Nursing Home, Labane, Ardrahan, Co Galway. We are looking for individuals to join our teams on a full time basis.

Purpose of the Role:-
The Healthcare Assistant works as a member of a team delivering care to the residents.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Assist the residents with activities pf daily living. Tasks required by this job include:
- Following direction of nurse in charge in carrying out care, record keeping and reporting.
- Serving meals to service users at table or in bed, and assists with feeding if required;
- Generally assisting with service users in their overall comfort and well-being;
- Providing interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user;
- Monitoring service users conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;
- Liaising with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.
Qualifications/Skills:-
- FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent. (completed or in progress)
- Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment
- Caring and empathetic nature
- Fluent level of English both written and oral.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
- Must be available to work day, night and weekend shifts on a fulltime basis.
