Bridge Executive Recruitment is currently engaged to source a reliable, motivated and mechanically minded Grunwald Filling Machine Line Operator for our client who have their highly reputable production facility based on outskirts of Galway city on a permanent basis. This is a fast-paced, target-driven role responsible for operating and maintaining the efficiency of the filling and sealing line. The successful candidate will follow a detailed production schedule, ensuring products are completed on time while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor the Grunwald filling and sealing machine.
• Follow production schedules and achieve planned start, finish and output targets.
• Carry out machine start-ups, shutdowns, tooling changes, product changeovers and wash-downs.
• Adjust machine settings and respond promptly to minor faults and stoppages.
• Monitor filling weights, seal quality, coding and product presentation.
• Complete production, quality and traceability records accurately.
• Follow HACCP, allergen, hygiene and food safety procedures, maintaining BRCGS AA standards.
• Minimise downtime and maintain a clean, organised and audit-ready production area.
• Work closely with kitchen, packing, technical and production teams to maintain efficient production flow.

Shift Pattern

Morning shift: 6:00am–4:00pm Evening shift: 4:00pm–finish

Flexibility is essential for this role as finish times may vary depending on the production schedule. Additional hours may be required to complete production plans or manage operational delays. Shift allowance will be provided for late/weekend shifts worked. Additional shift allowance will be paid for late/weekend shifts worked

Candidate Requirements

• Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Filling, sealing or packaging machinery experience is an advantage.
• Mechanically minded, with good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Able to work at pace, meet production targets and follow schedules accurately.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
• Comfortable with physical work, cleaning and regular machine changeovers.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and a strong team player.
