Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting andcorrective maintenance to minimize production downtime and ensure optimalequipment performance.
• Lead and supervise a team oftechnicians in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul ofplant machinery and equipment.
• Develop, plan, and schedulemaintenance activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient plantoperations.
• Manage spare parts inventoryeffectively to ensure the availability of critical components and preventoperational delays.
• Coordinate and liaise withsuppliers, vendors, and service providers for technical support, spare partsprocurement, and maintenance services.
• Monitor equipment performanceand recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability andproductivity.
• Ensure compliance withworkplace safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in ElectricalEngineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a relateddiscipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years ofrelevant working experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience inautomation systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair ofindustrial equipment.
• Experience in the steelmanufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IPCs, PLCprogramming, drive control systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Self-motivated, resourceful,and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to perform effectivelyunder pressure and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Willing to work 5.5 days perweek and perform overtime when operational requirements demand.
• Possession of a valid drivinglicense is preferred.
