Technical Quality Manager at Bricmate

Bricmate is looking for a Technical Quality Manager who wants to combine quality assurance, technical advisory, and product development in a broad and business-oriented role. Bricmate is a Swedish company founded in 2007, specializing in high-quality porcelain stoneware. They are inspired by materials, colors, and architecture from around the world, but have a clear Nordic design language as a foundation. With a sparse and carefully curated assortment, they create timeless design with a strong identity. Through close collaborations with selected producers and suppliers, high quality is ensured at every stage – from manufacturing to customer experience.

The company has approximately 20 employees and is part of a larger group with brands such as Tapwell, Haven, and ROOH. The culture is characterized by entrepreneurship, commitment, and close collaboration. At Bricmate, decision-making paths are short and the opportunities to influence are large.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a Technical Quality Manager at Bricmate, you will become the company's technical expert and be responsible for quality, technical documentation, and product-related issues within porcelain stoneware. You will work closely with the marketing organization, sales organization, customer service, suppliers, and factories to ensure that products meet high requirements for quality, function, and design.

The role is broad and varied, combining quality assurance, technical advisory, complaint management, and product development. You will drive improvement initiatives together with suppliers, be responsible for technical documentation, and serve as important support in technical matters both internally and externally. The role also involves regular business travel with overnight stays, both within Sweden and internationally, in connection with visits to suppliers, factories, and other partners.

Tasks:

• Responsible for product quality and quality assurance within porcelain stoneware
• Produce and update technical documentation

• Participate in the development of new products, formats, and surfaces
• Build and develop relationships with suppliers as well as follow up on quality requirements and test results

• Responsible for training and technical advisory to salespeople, customer service, and retailers, including technical questions and complaint management
• Maintain and develop Bricmate’s leading environmental position in the industry

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Technical education, preferably at university level • At least three years of experience working in quality assurance, product development, or technical documentation • Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written • B-driver's license

Merit: • Experience from the building materials, ceramics, stone, or related industry • Knowledge of Boverket's building regulations, CE marking, EN and ISO standards, as well as environmental documentation • Experience in supplier development, factory audits, or sustainability work • Knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish

To succeed in the role, you are self-driven, analytical, meticulous, and structured, with a strong ability to create order and drive issues forward. You combine a quality-conscious way of working with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. Furthermore, you are communicative and pedagogical, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and professional manner. You enjoy working independently while also appreciating close collaboration with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
