Senior Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join a team developing technically demanding solutions for a Silicon Valley-based technology company in the security space . This is a hands-on role focused on building reliable software, solving complex engineering problems and contributing to technical decisions . Daily tasks

• Designing, developing and maintaining reliable, scalable software.
• Developing software using Python.
• Designing and implementing new features and solutions.
• Working with and extending an established codebase.
• Solving complex technical problems and making pragmatic engineering decisions.
• Contributing to system design and technical discussions.
• Improving code quality, performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborating closely with other engineers and QA.
• Sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Using modern development practices, including AI-assisted engineering tools, while maintaining strong engineering standards.

Requirements

Several years of commercial software development experience with Python . Proven experience building complex, reliable and scalable systems . Strong understanding of software engineering principles and system design. Ability to independently solve complex technical problems and make sound engineering decisions. Experience working with complex, established codebases. Ability to take ownership of technical tasks and drive them through to completion. Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with experienced engineers. Willingness to contribute to technical discussions and share knowledge with other engineers. Nice to have Experience with Go . Knowledge of networking, distributed systems or network infrastructure . Experience with cybersecurity or security-focused products . Background in IT infrastructure, aviation or other technically demanding domains. Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers. Practical experience using AI tools as part of the software development workflow.
