HSE Manager

HSE Manager Paddington, London £60,000-£70,000 + Package Construction An established construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced HSE Manager to join their team from their Paddington office. This is an excellent opportunity for an HSE Manager who wants to take ownership of health, safety and environmental standards across a portfolio of construction projects predominantly based throughout London. The HSE Manager will be based in the Paddington office five days per week, with approximately two days spent visiting live construction sites across London. Working closely with project teams and senior management, the HSE Manager will help ensure that projects are delivered in line with company procedures, current legislation and industry best practice. HSE Manager Role The HSE Manager will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the business and supporting site teams with the implementation of HSE policies and procedures. Key responsibilities will include carrying out regular site inspections and audits, reviewing RAMS and construction phase plans, investigating incidents and near misses, producing reports and monitoring corrective actions. The HSE Manager will also provide advice and guidance to project teams, assist with toolbox talks and training, and ensure appropriate records and documentation are maintained. The role will involve liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders while ensuring that health, safety and environmental requirements remain a priority throughout each project. HSE Manager Requirements The successful HSE Manager will have previous health and safety experience within the UK construction industry and a strong understanding of current HSE legislation and CDM Regulations. Applicants should ideally hold: NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate

TechIOSH, GradIOSH or equivalent professional membership

Relevant CSCS card

Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation

Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and incident investigations

Excellent communication and report-writing skills

A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to regular site visits. HSE Manager Package The successful HSE Manager will receive a salary of approximately £60,000-£70,000 , alongside the opportunity to join an established contractor delivering projects across London from their Paddington office.
