Cloud Engineer
As the Azure specialist at Brand New Day, a fast-growing fintech bank, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our cloud environment. This ensures our teams can build and run software securely and efficiently. You will take ownership and work closely with driven developers. What will you do as an Azure engineer? As an Azure engineer at Brand New Day, you are responsible for migrating our software landscape to a modern and well-configured cloud environment. You will build upon this foundation and ensure that in the future we can make optimal use of Azure's capabilities for our custom software. You will work closely with our fifty developers and testers in Amsterdam and Bangkok, so they can use Azure as effectively as possible for developing, testing, and hosting applications. Additionally, you will support the management team with strategic projects, cloud improvements, and the maintenance of our infrastructure. You will collaborate with both external service providers and our own risk department to ensure reliability, security, and compliance within our cloud environment.
Your activities in short: Designing, analyzing, and optimizing our infrastructure in Azure and DevOps (CI/CD)
Contributing to our cloud strategy in consultation with the developers
Creating specifications and technical blueprints
Supervising the implementation of cloud-based processes and systems
Collaborating with external parties and internal teams to ensure secure and reliable services
You will be part of a motivated cloud platform team, closely connected to our development community in Amsterdam and Bangkok.

Who are you? You are someone who thrives in a dynamic and innovative environment. You enjoy working independently, but also find it fun to work together with developers and management to ensure our cloud environment runs smoothly. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, continue to develop yourself, and follow the latest cloud technologies closely. Furthermore: you have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience with cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD
Azure, DevOps, and Microsoft 365 hold few secrets for you (experience with Intune is a plus);
you have relevant Microsoft certifications, such as AZ-104 (or the willingness to obtain these in the short term)
you speak fluent English and the Dutch language is a nice addition
you are familiar with the dynamics of larger IT landscapes
