Buyer BrandLab
We are BrandLab, the innovation branch of Brand Masters. We design, develop, and source food and non-food products — as own label or under license — for non-food retailers throughout Europe. Think of Action, Kruidvat, Normal, and Poundland. From idea to shelf.
We are growing fast and are looking for a buyer who can keep up with that pace. Someone who finds and maintains supplier relationships, closes sharp deals, and works with our team to get products onto the shelf. Are you that person? Read on.
Your role In this role, you will work with a selected group of preferred suppliers that align with our quality requirements, speed, and pricing strategy: both existing partners and newly selected suppliers. You will work closely with traffic coordinators and follow the stage-gate process, providing substantiated input at every phase based on margins, supplier options, and potential risks.
You understand what our customers expect and know how to translate this into smart sourcing choices. In doing so, you are a true team player who takes ownership of timely and complete filling of the product pipeline, so that we can continue to deliver and grow continuously.
What we offer you When you join Brand Masters, you can of course also expect a few things from us: A salary between €4,891 and €6,987 gross per month (based on full-time employment), depending on your work experience. Additionally, we pay out a performance-dependent bonus once a year;
Good other employment conditions and 26 vacation days on a full-time basis;
A modern, new, and bright workplace in Breda where our warehouse is also located;
Of course, a laptop and business phone for your deals;
Start, pause, or end your workday in our on-site gym. You can use this free of charge.
What will you do? You source suppliers for our product categories such as drinks, chocolate, confectionery, cookies, snacks, and groceries. You focus on white label solutions for our own concepts and licenses. At the same time, you actively contribute to our preferred supplier program, in which you develop sustainable partnerships with manufacturers that excel in quality, speed, and price. Furthermore: Together with Product Development, you translate concepts into products. From sample to production order — you manage the supplier, the price, and ensure that necessary certifications are in order;
You make purchasing decisions that follow our strategy. You do this based on market data, margins, and volumes. Not on gut feeling;
You negotiate terms, MOQs, payment terms, and delivery conditions;
You visit trade fairs and suppliers, both domestically and abroad;
You keep a sharp eye on the market: new manufacturers, price movements, competition. You know what is happening in our market.
Your profile You go for The Real Deal. You are commercial, analytical, and you know how the FMCG world works. You have a "get things done" mentality and you don't wait for someone to tell you what the next step is. Furthermore, we require: 3–7 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or category management within FMCG. Preferably in food: drinks, confectionery, or snacks.
Experience with private label or white label product development. You understand the difference with an A-brand purchasing process.
A network among food manufacturers or the drive to build one quickly.
Strong analytical skills: margins, cost prices, and volumes are your daily language.
You speak fluent Dutch and English. Speaking French or German is a plus.
At least a bachelor's degree.
Your team You will join an ambitious and growing team with a "get things done" mentality. BrandLab consists of several buyers, product developers, marketers, designers, and traffic coordinators. Together we work on the entire trajectory: from trend to shelf. The lines are short, the speed is high, and there is room to take initiative.
