Your tasks
This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who is equally comfortable in a stakeholder workshop and in a technical design review. You’ll understand how the business operates, shape the target architecture across the Adobe Experience Cloud, and guide delivery teams through to a production-ready, scalable platform.
You’ll work on enterprise-scale transformation programmes with multiple workstreams, demanding stakeholders, and real accountability for outcomes. We want someone who brings a point of view, not just someone who executes a specification. You should have shaped solutions, defended architectural decisions, and seen them through go-live.
- Lead discovery with business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives, current-state landscapes, and customer experience requirements.
- Define end-to-end target architectures across Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, Forms) and Adobe Experience Platform (RT-CDP, Journey Optimizer, Target, Analytics / CJA).
- Translate business and experience requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Make and document key architectural decisions, including AEM as a Cloud Service vs. on-premise/AMS, headless vs. hybrid delivery, and data and identity strategy.
- Design integrations between Adobe products and enterprise platforms such as CRM, commerce, ERP, CDPs, identity providers, and data warehouses, using APIs, event-driven patterns, and middleware.
- Define data models, XDM schemas, identity resolution, and audience segmentation approaches that support personalization and journey orchestration.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams, including code and design reviews, development standards, CI/CD via Cloud Manager, and environment strategy.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, accessibility, and data privacy requirements, including regional data residency where applicable.
- Contribute to solutioning, estimation, and scoping of new phases and change requests.
- Prototype and validate approaches before full implementation to reduce delivery risk.
- Identify opportunities to use AI capabilities across the Adobe stack, such as AI Assistant, generative content, and predictive audiences, where they create real business value.
- Advise clients on platform roadmap, licensing implications, and adoption best practice.
- Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, including solution designs, integration specifications, and decision records.
- Collaborate with UX, data, marketing, and delivery leads throughout discovery, design, build, and optimization.
Requirements
- 10+ years in digital or enterprise technology, including 6+ years architecting on the Adobe Experience Cloud.
- A track record of leading Adobe implementations end to end on large-scale, multi-workstream programmes.
- Experience in a consulting or systems integration environment, delivering for enterprise clients in a structured, client-facing delivery model.
- Deep hands-on AEM expertise, including Cloud Service, components and templates, Sling/OSGi, Dispatcher, content and DAM architecture, and headless delivery (GraphQL, Content Fragments).
- Strong working knowledge of AEP and its applications (RT-CDP, AJO, Target, Analytics / CJA), with practical experience in data ingestion, schemas, and identity.
- Solid integration and cloud architecture skills, including REST APIs, Adobe I/O / App Builder, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- The ability to communicate architecture clearly to senior business stakeholders and technical teams alike.
- Comfort working independently in a contract capacity and getting productive quickly within established client teams.
- Adobe certifications such as Adobe Certified Master or Expert (AEM Architect, AEP Architect).
- Experience in regulated or public-sector environments, such as financial services, government, or telecoms.
- Experience with Adobe Commerce or Workfront.
- GCC client experience and/or Arabic language skills.
