Join Bournemouth & Poole College as a Timetables and Registers Officer and play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of timetabling, attendance and room booking services across the College.

This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week primarily at our Poole campus but with travel to the Bournemouth campus.

In return, you will receive a competitive annual salary of £27,770-£29,639 depending on experience.

The Role

Join our team as a Timetables and Registers Officer, where you will play a key role in the administration and coordination of timetabling and attendance systems, supporting the efficient delivery of services across the College.

What you'll be doing

Working with the Senior Timetables and Registers Officer, you will support the delivery and administration of the College's timetabling, attendance monitoring and room booking systems, helping to maximise room utilisation and provide an efficient service for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of accurate and efficient timetables
  • Operation and maintenance of student attendance register
  • Lead on and be responsible for the timely resolution of all enquiries received through the Timetables and Registers request queue
  • Ensure student timetabled hours meet DofE audit requirements and match the curriculum plan accordingly - liaise with College managers to address timetable related queries and concern
  • Assist with the monitoring of any unmarked registers or missing register marks; and work with curriculum areas to resolve any issues as quickly as possible
  • Co-ordinate the room booking function within the College and liaise directly with department managers and examinations staff, to ensure maximum utilisation of space available

About You

  • GCSE Grade 9-4 (previously A-C) in English and Maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths
  • Background in a similar role in a busy office environment
  • Experienced in using electronic systems for recording data
  • Strong customer service and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with high levels of accuracy
  • Confidence in using digital systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and awareness of safeguarding in an educational setting
