Sales Manager - Hotel
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue, occupancy, and market share. The role focuses on acquiring new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and driving corporate, group, and local market sales in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives. Develop and execute the hotel’s sales strategy in line with business and revenue objectives.
Identify and secure new corporate, group, government, and local business accounts.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, and business meetings.
Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline and follow up on business opportunities.
Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements with corporate and group clients within approved guidelines.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and business opportunities.
Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize room rates, occupancy, and overall hotel revenue.
Coordinate with Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure smooth handling of group and corporate business.
Prepare sales forecasts, monthly reports, account production reports, and performance updates.
Participate in sales campaigns, exhibitions, networking events, and industry activities.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
Manage client complaints and ensure timely resolution to maintain strong business relationships.
Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for increased production and revenue.
Maintain accurate client information and sales activities within the hotel’s CRM or sales system.
Support the Sales & Marketing strategy and contribute to the hotel’s overall commercial performance.
3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably within a midscale or upscale hotel environment.
Proven experience in corporate sales, account management, and business development .
Strong understanding of the local hospitality market and corporate client segments.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and generate new business.
Experience managing key accounts, corporate contracts, and group bookings .
Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
Strong knowledge of hotel sales processes, revenue management, and distribution channels .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM, and hotel PMS systems such as Opera .
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other hotel departments.
Fluent English is required; Arabic is preferred for positions in Saudi Arabia.
Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage, depending on the position's requirements.
Willingness to travel locally for client visits, sales calls, and business development activities.
