Assistant Sales Manager - Hotel
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in implementing the hotel’s sales strategy and achieving revenue, occupancy, and business development targets. The role is responsible for maintaining client relationships, generating new business, supporting key accounts, and coordinating sales activities with other hotel departments. Support the Sales Manager in developing and implementing the hotel’s sales strategy.
Identify and pursue new corporate, group, government, and local business opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts.
Conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations, and business meetings.
Assist in negotiating corporate rates, contracts, and agreements within approved guidelines.
Follow up on leads, inquiries, proposals, and business opportunities.
Maintain an updated sales pipeline and client database.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and potential business opportunities.
Work closely with Revenue Management to support occupancy and revenue objectives.
Coordinate with Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams regarding group and corporate bookings.
Assist in preparing weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and account production reports.
Participate in exhibitions, networking events, sales missions, and promotional activities.
Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
Handle client requests and complaints professionally and ensure timely follow-up.
Assist the Sales Manager in developing and maintaining corporate account contracts.
Ensure all sales activities and client information are accurately recorded in the CRM or hotel sales system.
Provide support to the Sales Manager in daily team activities and departmental projects.
2–4 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably within a midscale or upscale hotel.
Previous experience in corporate sales, account management, or business development .
Good knowledge of the local market and corporate client segments.
Proven ability to develop new accounts and maintain existing client relationships.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of hotel sales processes and revenue objectives.
Ability to achieve individual and departmental sales targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM, and hotel PMS systems such as Opera .
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent English is required; Arabic is preferred for Saudi Arabia.
Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage.
Willingness to travel locally for client visits and sales activities.
