Ruby Software Engineer

Our platform is growing rapidly in users, data, and functionality. As a Ruby Software Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring our systems remain scalable, fast, and reliable. With us, you are not simply a coder, but a builder who takes ownership of crucial parts of the application and thinks along about the right technical choices for the long term.
What you will do As a Ruby Software Engineer, you will independently develop and improve our platform's software. You will actively contribute to technical solutions, take ownership of features, and work closely with our product and design team. You will work on, among other things:
- Designing, building, and maintaining new functionalities and modules
- Optimizing existing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Working on APIs, connections, and integrations with external systems
- Actively contributing to technical discussions and architectural choices
- Acting as a sparring partner for Junior Engineers

With our products BEX PMS, CMS, and smart tools & integrations, we offer a complete cloud-based ecosystem that supports holiday parks, recreation companies, hotels, and rental organizations in their administrative, operational, and financial processes.
About you You are an experienced engineer who gets energy from solving complex problems and understands what is needed to keep a live system running smoothly.
- At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field
- Experience building and maintaining live SaaS systems
- Experience with and a feel for modern web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails
- An eye for code quality, maintainability, and scalability
- A team player who can well-substantiate technical choices within an international, English-speaking team
- Residing in the Netherlands and within a reasonable commuting distance of Enschede or Zwolle
