Field Supervisor

Job Description: On-Site Supervision: Monitor and direct the daily activities of workers, tradespeople, and subcontractors at the project site. Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the requirements of shop drawings, technical specifications, and company quality standards. Time Management: Delegating daily tasks to the field team to meet project timelines and deadlines. Logistics & Materials Management: Inspecting the arrival of construction materials, ensuring quantities and specifications match orders, and overseeing their storage and use to minimize waste. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Implementation: Identifying potential hazards in the work area and ensuring all workers comply with safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Coordination & Communication: Serving as a communication bridge between field workers and the Site Manager, office management, clients, or architects regarding project progress. Report Preparation: Prepare daily or weekly reports on project progress, worker attendance, on-site challenges, and material usage.

Key Skills for Supervisor:

• Education: Minimum vocational high school (SMK) degree in Building/Construction Engineering, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience: Typically requires at least 1–3 years of experience in project supervision or on-site construction.
• Technical Skills: Able to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Core Skills Leadership & Assertiveness: Able to lead work teams, foremen, and subcontractors from diverse backgrounds.
• Effective Communication: It is essential to provide clear work instructions and promptly report on-site issues.
• Problem Solving: Responsive in addressing unexpected challenges on-site, such as delays in material delivery, inclement weather, or changes to the work plan.
