We are looking for a Nutritionist to join BOM BOM, supporting personalised pet nutrition, nutritional data analysis and new product development. In this role, you will provide tailored dietary recommendations for pets, maintain our nutritional database and SOPs, and contribute to the development and improvement of our pet food products. You will work closely with our Customer Solutions, Operations and Marketing teams to ensure our nutritional recommendations and products are accurate, practical and aligned with established nutritional standards. You will also play a role in improving our Nutrition BOM BOT AI system by reviewing nutritional information, analysing customer insights and enhancing the accuracy of its recommendations. Responsibilities

Pet Nutrition & Dietary Recommendations

  • Provide personalised dietary recommendations based on pets' nutritional requirements, life stages, health conditions and individual needs.
  • Review pet profiles and nutritional information to recommend suitable products and feeding plans.
  • Support the Customer Solutions team with nutrition-related enquiries that require specialised knowledge.
  • Review and update dietary recommendations based on new nutritional findings, product changes and customer feedback.
  • Escalate complex medical or veterinary-related cases to the appropriate specialists.

Nutritional Database & Analysis

  • Maintain and update nutritional databases, ingredient information and product specifications.
  • Analyse nutritional data to support dietary recommendations and product development.
  • Review nutritional calculations and ensure consistency and accuracy across products and feeding recommendations.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of Nutrition BOM BOT by reviewing its nutritional knowledge base and identifying gaps or inaccuracies.

SOP Maintenance& Documentation

  • Maintain and update nutrition-related SOPs, formulation records and technical documentation.
  • Ensure nutritional information and internal guidelines remain accurate, consistent and up to date.
  • Work with relevant departments to review and improve existing nutrition-related processes.
  • Maintain proper records of product formulations, nutritional calculations and supporting documentation.

New Product Development (NPD)

  • Support the research, formulation and development of new pet food products.
  • Evaluate ingredients based on nutritional value, suitability and product requirements.
  • Conduct nutritional calculations and review formulations against established standards, including NRC, AAFCO and FEDIAF.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Procurement and external laboratories on ingredient testing, product trials and nutritional analysis.
  • Review existing products and recommend improvements based on nutritional findings, customer feedback and market trends.
  • Assist with product specifications, nutritional labelling and technical documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Customer Solutions to ensure dietary recommendations and nutritional information are communicated accurately.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Procurement on ingredient suitability, product specifications and formulation requirements.
  • Provide technical nutritional information to support Marketing's product content and claims.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve nutritional processes and product offerings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Food Science, Nutrition or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 2–4 years of relevant experience in pet nutrition, food formulation, product development or a related field.
  • Good understanding of companion animal nutrition, particularly dogs and cats.
  • Familiarity with NRC, AAFCO and FEDIAF nutritional guidelines.
  • Knowledge of nutritional calculations, ingredient functionality and dietary formulation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and maintain nutritional data.
  • Good documentation, organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with different departments.
  • Detail-oriented, with an interest in product development and continuous improvement.
  • Genuine interest in pet health, nutrition and animal welfare.
