Logistics Assistant
The Logistics Assistant supports the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations at BOM BOM, including receiving and storing raw materials, inventory management, picking and packing finished goods, delivery dispatch, returns handling and warehouse housekeeping. This is a hands-on role that involves working in a cold/frozen warehouse environment. You will help ensure that raw materials and finished goods are handled, stored and dispatched accurately and safely in accordance with company SOPs, food safety and workplace safety requirements. Responsibilities
- Fulfil pet meal orders from online customers for delivery.
- Pick, pack and check finished goods according to Delivery Orders and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with delivery drivers to support accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor deliveries and highlight any failed, delayed or outstanding deliveries.
- Support the efficient organisation and use of warehouse and storage space.
- Manage inventory movements and maintain accurate stock and operational records for items moving in and out of the freezer room.
- Receive incoming inventory and properly store returned goods and reusable delivery items.
- Keep the warehouse, cold room and logistics work areas clean, organised and safe.
- Follow company SOPs, food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with other logistics and warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory or food production is preferred.
- Able to understand, read and communicate in basic English for operational and safety requirements.
- Basic computer literacy and able to perform simple data entry.
- Able to perform manual handling duties, including lifting, carrying and moving goods weighing up to 20kg.
- Able to work regularly in a freezer room environment at approximately -20°C, with appropriate protective clothing provided.
- Able to perform accurate counting, checking, picking and packing.
- Able to work on a rotating shift schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Responsible, organised and able to work as part of a team.
Additional Information
- 5-day work week on a rotating shift schedule, based on operational requirements.
- Rest days will be scheduled according to the assigned roster.
