Process Operator to Rönnskär

You should be a committed person, preferably with experience in similar tasks. We are looking for someone who is responsible, meticulous, and self-reliant. You should have good planning skills, be able to prioritize, and feel responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you are quality-conscious and have good collaborative skills. You are driven by your desire to develop and be developed.

To be eligible for the position, you need: • Process operator training, operations technician/engineer training, or alternatively completed high school education. • Basic IT skills. • Basic knowledge of English. • B-driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience from working with: • Copper smelting or other process industries • Steam boilers or other pressure vessels • ABB control systems • Truck or crane driving The Process Operator plans, controls, and monitors processes and equipment within their work area so that the best possible production results are achieved with regard to quantity, quality, and environment.

The tasks include, among other things: • contacts within your own and with other departments, • production reporting, • performing rounds and scheduled inspections, • initiating and in some cases performing maintenance efforts, • reporting deviations and facility deficiencies, • truck and/or crane driving

Great importance is placed on protection and safety work, where cleaning to maintain good order and tidiness is part of the daily work. Boliden Rönnskär in Skelleftehamn is one of the world's most efficient smelters, extracting metals from raw materials from mines and various types of recycling materials. Above all, copper, gold, silver, lead, and zinc clinker are produced. Rönnskär currently has approximately 890 employees.

The RPS department consists of several units that both smelt new and recycled copper-containing materials and handle the gases formed in the smelting process and send them on to Svavelsyraverken. Approximately 80 people work in the department. The work is carried out in shift teams of different sizes, and specific tasks occur in the various operations departments. Shift work as well as daytime work occurs.
