Field Technician - To the Exploration Department Near-Mine Exploration, Aitik

We are looking for a person with a high school education, preferably with a scientific or technical focus, who enjoys working outdoors and can take care of themselves in the forest and terrain under varying conditions during all seasons.

You must be able to follow instructions, have a basic understanding of maps and compasses, orientation, and computer programs commonly used within the industry. You must have the ability to communicate with other staff, contractors, and landowners, as well as be flexible and in good physical condition. You must be able to work both independently and be a team player who works proactively for the company's development.

The position requires good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Finnish is a merit. Driver's license B and snowmobile operator's certificate are required; driver's license BE is a merit. As a Field Technician, you will carry out and assist with exploration activities during drilling programs, fieldwork, and geophysical surveys, as well as related data management and result reporting to geologists and project managers. The position includes coordination and management of contractors. Timing for drilling and measurement depends on the measurement results, which means the work requires great flexibility.

The work also includes preparations and planning for areas to be investigated, as well as responsibility for equipment and vehicles.
