industrial spray painter

We are looking for an Industrial Spray Painter with a minimum of 5 years experience in applying automotive quality paints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.
• Use and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, compressors, and other tools.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly disposing of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and report any issues to management.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role preferred.
• Proficient in the use of painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Knowledge of different paint types, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot painting issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to painting and hazardous materials.

HOURS:

• 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have good English language skills
• Experience with the use of both electrostatic and HVLP spray guns
• Experience in the sign industry is an asset.
• Some overtime will be required as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
