Knitwear Technician – Defect Analysis and Quality Control

The role is responsible for the quality control of knitwear garments during all stages of the production process. The task is to identify, analyze, and correct any manufacturing defects, ensuring that the items in production comply with company quality standards and technical production specifications.

Main responsibilities: Defect analysis of garments by identifying the cause of the problem (yarn tension, machine settings, assembly errors, yarn defects)

Perform checks on garment measurements

Detect defects in knitting, stitching, dimensional tolerances, hand feel, stitch regularity, and aesthetic aspects

Verify garment compliance with the quality standards required by the brand

Compile quality control reports and record non-conformities

Support prototype and sampling development by providing technical feedback

Required skills: Excellent knowledge of knitwear techniques, stitches, and machinery

Ability to recognize and analyze typical knitwear defects

Technical problem-solving attitude

Precision, attention to detail, and operational autonomy

Educational and professional requirements: Previous experience in knitwear factories, garment assembly, or quality control in the knitwear sector

Technical diploma or professional training in the textile-clothing sector is preferred

Basic knowledge of industrial knitwear production processes

Availability for business trips, including extended stays, in Italy and abroad

Good technical knowledge of the English language; French or Chinese is certainly a plus
